Duties: | Reporting to the City Manager, the Intergovernmental Relations Advisor is responsible for coordinating the City of Lloydminster’s intergovernmental initiatives and advocacy efforts. This role provides extensive research, analysis, and advice on policy trends and recommended actions, develops the City’s advocacy plan and coordinates government relations activities to support municipal priorities. The Advisor fosters relationships and facilitates collaboration with the federal government, Saskatchewan and Alberta provincial governments, regional municipalities, Indigenous communities and key stakeholders. Schedule: | Normal working hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. with the requirement to work evenings and overtime dependent upon required deadlines. Travel will be required from time to time. The ability to attend and conduct presentations is required. |
